The Sentry of Chaos comes to Earth in the Eocene Epoch and uses cosmic radiation to alter several beings including a Spirula in the depths of the ocean. This Spirula eventually known as the Cephalopod of Doom travels the dark depths of the ocean and slowly goes insane. The Sentry of Chaos viewed the Sentient Squirrel Death Machine leaving Earth with the Krptaxians and becoming a force for good a failure. So, he returned to Earth in order to manipulate the Cephalopod of Doom into doing his bidding. He attracts an alien vessel to Earth and has the Cephalopod of Doom kill the occupants and use it to travel to Krptax and destroy all life. The Sentient Squirrel Death Machine returns too late to save his adopted home world but does battle and kill the Cephalopod of Doom. His dead husk thrown into deep space but with his last bit of life he had sent a distress call to be heard millions of years later by Vampira Infernalis where she would then travel through time to retrieve his body and revive him more powerful than ever before, beginning their campaign of death and destruction.
